Download and install Koodos on Windows
Koodos protects your child's Windows PC by blocking distractions during homework, bedtime, and screen-free hours. Here's how to install it.
Before you start
- The Windows PC your child uses (Windows 10 or newer)
- Your parent account (sign up at parents.koodos.app if you haven't yet)
- A pairing code from the Parent App
Step 1 — Download the installer
On your child's PC, open a browser and go to koodos.app/setup.
Click Download for Windows. This downloads a small file called KoodosInstaller.exe (about 70 MB). When the download finishes, double-click to run it.
Step 2 — Run the installer
Windows may show a SmartScreen warning the first time. Click More info → Run anyway. Koodos is code-signed, but new versions sometimes take a few days for SmartScreen to recognize.
The installer downloads the full Koodos client (about 290 MB) and sets it up automatically. This takes a few minutes depending on your connection.
Step 3 — Pair the device
When installation finishes, Koodos launches and shows a pairing screen. Open the Parent App on your phone, choose the child this device belongs to, and tap Add device. Scan the QR code or enter the pairing code shown on the PC.
The device is now paired and protected.
