Install Koodos on your child's iPhone or iPad

Koodos uses Apple's Screen Time framework to block apps on iOS. It's available on the App Store.

Step 1 — Download from the App Store

On the iPhone or iPad your child uses, open the App Store and search for Koodos. Tap Get to install.

Step 2 — Open Koodos and follow the setup wizard

The first time you open Koodos, you'll walk through a short setup:

1. Grant Screen Time permission. Tap Allow when iOS asks. This is what lets Koodos block apps. See Grant Screen Time permission for details.
2. Choose what to block. Tap Select apps and pick the apps and categories you want Koodos to manage. See Choose which apps to block.
3. Set a parent PIN. Pick a 4-digit PIN. Your child will see this prompt if they try to change settings or remove Koodos.
4. Pair with the Parent App. Scan the QR code from the Parent App, or enter the pairing code by hand.

After setup

Koodos runs in the background. Your child doesn't need to keep the app open for blocking to work — iOS handles the enforcement. You manage everything from the Parent App.
