Reset your parent PIN
The parent PIN is a 4-digit code your child sees if they try to change Koodos settings, uninstall the app, or override blocking. Forgot yours? Here's how to reset it.
Reset from the Parent App
- Open the Parent App on your phone, or sign in at parents.koodos.app.
- Go to Settings → Config (or Settings → Security).
- Tap Change parent PIN.
- Enter a new 4-digit PIN and confirm it.
The new PIN applies to every paired device the next time it syncs (usually within a minute).
Don't share your PIN
The PIN is what keeps your child from changing rules or removing Koodos themselves. Pick something they wouldn't guess — avoid birthdays, addresses, or "1234".
If you suspect your child has learned the PIN, change it from the Parent App right away.
What if I can't sign in to the Parent App?
If you've also lost access to the parent account itself, see Sign in or sign out → Forgot password first to recover the account, then change the PIN from there.
Still stuck? Email support@koodos.app from the email on file and we'll help you verify ownership.
